Creator
Sellxora compares the applicable marketplace commission rate with the affiliate commission rate for each eligible product line. The two full commissions are not stacked on the same sale. If the affiliate rate is higher, the creator deduction is the affiliate commission; Sellxora’s marketplace fee is calculated as a percentage of that affiliate commission, and the affiliate receives the remainder after that marketplace fee and any separately applicable existing affiliate platform fee. If the marketplace rate is higher than or equal to the affiliate rate, the creator deduction is the marketplace commission, and the affiliate commission is funded from that marketplace commission. Equal rates are allocated to the marketplace. For example, on a ₦100,000 eligible sale with a 30% affiliate rate and 10% marketplace rate, the creator deduction is ₦30,000 and the marketplace fee is ₦3,000; the affiliate receives ₦27,000 before any separately applicable affiliate platform fee. If the rates are 10% affiliate and 30% marketplace, the creator deduction is ₦30,000 and the affiliate’s ₦10,000 commission is paid from that amount, leaving ₦20,000 for Sellxora before other costs. Rates are applied to the eligible discounted sale amount. Direct affiliate referrals without marketplace attribution keep the existing affiliate-only commission policy.

Creator
No. The marketplace and affiliate commission allocation is used to calculate the creator’s deduction and the resulting marketplace or affiliate earnings. It does not add those commissions to the buyer’s checkout total. Any separate buyer-facing fee that is already configured for the checkout continues to follow its existing settings; the commission allocation itself is not an extra buyer fee.
